By using social listening tools, OMDWord are helping Clinique to track conversations and capture social mentions using key words around blemish control. This not only capitalises on the real time nature of social media but also the real time frustration of acne sufferers.
Once identified and targeted, consumers are served Twitter’s latest innovation – a Twitter “lead gen card” directly on their newsfeed. This lead gen card promotes the offer to the consumer and pre-populates their information so redeeming is as easy as hitting “OK!”
On Facebook, OMDWord’s internal design team have created a custom rich media unit that also captures data and redemptions from consumers, ultimately storing all info and lead gens in a backend database custom built for this campaign.
Once they hit “redeem,” consumers are immediately sent a Clinique EDM with the offer and a store locator to find the nearest Clinique counter near them. Those who go in-store also receive a complimentary skin consultation by a Clinique skin specialist.
This campaign is a simple and effective way to quickly identify a consumer need and provide a solution in real time using the best and latest in social media technology. Clients have a new channel through which to sample as well as build their email databases for future communications.
